Do I have to book online?

Do I have to pay by credit card?
No. You may pay by credit card or, if booking by phone/email, we can provide UK residents with our UK sort code and account number. Cash is not accepted. Once you have received our confirmation, please ensure that you add your name and unique booking reference number to the payment transfer details.
Are necessities provided?
We will provide you with an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, etc. Towels and wash cloths will also be provided.
Is there a bank near by?
There is no longer a bank in Lochinver. However, there is a Bank of Scotland cash machine located in front of the Villiage Hall, a Post Office (located in the Spar) and a Royal Bank of Scotland mobile unit that comes periodically (check there website for schedule).
Is there a place to buy groceries nearby?
Lochinver has a Spar and a Costcutter. Both stores have groceries and other necessities.
Do I have to pay seperately for utilities?
No. All utilities (Gas, Oil, Electricity) are included.
Do I have to pay for firewood?
No. We typically keep enough firewood on the property for our quests to enjoy at no extra charge. However, this is not a guarantee.
Is free WIFI/Internet available?
Yes. Free WIFI/Internet access is available.
What indoor entertainment is available?
There are board games, dvds, Freesat and Netflix. Bluetooth speakers are available in multiple locations for playing/streaming music from your phone or tablet.
Is there a phone on the property?
Yes. You may use the phone for local and emergency calls. Mobile phone service is spotty in the house. You may have to walk to the back of the house and follow the path up to the red gate entrance to get a signal.
